Community Outreach

At Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital we embrace the issues and challenges of animal welfare and the human-animal bond. Our doctors and team members are proud to donate a significant amount of time and money in support of individual pets and a number of animal welfare and rescue organizations. These services include anything from examining sick foster animals to performing major orthopedic surgeries. We also are proud to be in such events as the Doggie Dash (benefiting OHS) and Bark For Life (benefiting American Cancer Society).

Some of the organizations we currently support or have supported include the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, the Oregon Humane Society, Golden Bond Rescue, and the Coffee Creek inmate program for training assistance dogs for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI).

We also provide community outreach programs in the form of educational programs for children and adults, as well as externship opportunities for veterinary and technician students. Our doctors serve or have served on various boards, including Pet Partners, the Oregon Humane Society, the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, Golden Bond Rescue, Dove Lewis, and the Portland Veterinary Medical Association.
