Care Credit
We offer CareCredit® to our clients because your pet is an important part of the family. CareCredit is a convenient, low minimum monthly payment program to help you accept the best treatment recommendation for your pets.
Referrals
The Doctors at Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital work closely with Board Certified Veterinary Specialists in the Portland metro area, often consulting and referring cases requiring more specialized care or diagnostics. We are able to refer to the following specialty areas: Dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, radiology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, behavioral medicine, physical therapy services as well as MRI and CT scan services. These relationships allow us to more effectively diagnose and treat our patients, as well as staying abreast of the most current techniques and treatments.
Grooming
Joni has been our professional groomer for over 10 years. She is an expert in show standard and custom clips. We believe that pets feel better when they are clean, brushed, and well groomed. Besides Joni’s expert and artistic talents, our clean and contemporary facility provides: Veterinary quality shampoos, cotton ear protection, nail trimming, ear cleaning, feet and face trimming, undercoat brushing and anal gland expression.
Admit / Drop-off service
We have an early morning admit schedule available for you: 7:00am Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am on Friday and Saturday.
Pet Boarding
Comfort and safety are the central focus of our boarding facilities. Dogs and cats board in separate areas to reduce anxiety. All kennels are carefully maintained with clean bedding and dishes. Pets with special needs, such as physical conditions or medications, are under collaborative hospital supervision. Dogs that board for more than three days are eligible for complimentary baths (at owner's request). For convenience, pet owners can download, print and complete the boarding forms ahead of time: ( Dog / Cat )
Community Outreach
We embrace the issues and challenges of animals welfare and the human-animal bond. We are proud to provide pro bono veterinary services to the Oregon Humane Society. Each year we contribute our services to hundreds of homeless pets. These services include anything from examining sick foster animals to performing major orthopedic surgeries.
Our doctors and team members donate a significant amount of time and money in support of the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon , a local non-profit organization dedicated to preventing future generations of feral cats through spay/neuter programs and education.
We provide community outreach programs in the form of educational programs for children and adults, as well as externships for veterinary and technician students. Our doctors serve on various boards, including the Oregon Humane Society, the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, and the Portland Veterinary Medical Association, and the Portland Community College Advisory Board.
