The “Rocky” Carter Memorial Fund
The “Rocky” Carter Memorial Adoption Fund is a non-profit program that is dedicated to placing homeless dogs and cats into permanent, loving homes.
Your donation will help us provide the food, shelter, and healthcare that are necessary for these animals.
An Old Friend
“Rocky” was a beloved patient, boarder and friend of ours who passed away in October, 2007 at age 16. It’s hard to know who enjoyed his stays with us more as he was a favorite of our entire staff and he too seemed to enjoy himself whenever he visited. His memory lives on with this fund to help other animals in need.
He and his owners travelled all the way from Vancouver for his veterinary care and for his boarding. We deeply appreciate their long held friendship and confidence in Murrayhill.
During several holiday seasons, Rocky’s owners would board him with us, complete with bed, blankets, food, and Christmas presents (catnip toys, kitty sweaters, and a red and white Christmas stocking cap!).
“Rocky” Carter 1991 – 2007
Every year Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital treats and finds homes for dozens of abandoned or rescued animals. We also act as an outreach adoption site for the Oregon Humane Society. We ensure that these animals are current on vaccinations, OVH or neutered (if age appropriate), and parasite free. We test cats for feline leukemia and the feline aids virus. We also attend to any other medical or surgical needs prior to adoption.
We accept contributions with each adoption for the “Rocky” Carter Memorial Adoption Fund to help offset treatment costs. If you’d like to adopt a pet or make a donation, please contact us at 503-579-3300 or make a check payable to Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital. Your donation can be mailed to:
