History

After graduation from Vet School, I was selected for a one year Internship at West Los Angeles Veterinary Hospital; the largest Veterinary Critical Care Hospital on the west coast. After my Internship I decided to pursue Emergency and Critical Care working in two of the largest Veterinary Critical Care and referral hospitals in California.

In 1999, after missing not living closer to my mother and sister, I decided it was time to move back to Florida, where I joined the staff at the Pensacola Animal Emergency Hospital. I headed the staff there for over two years, before deciding to leave emergency medicine for General Practice, where I joined the staff of Navarre Animal Hospital in June 2001. I’ve found Family Practice to be extremely rewarding over the past seven years.

I’m the primary on-call veterinarian for Florida Dachshund Rescue and Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue, and I donate my time caring for rescued animals as well as answering questions from pet owners through the organizations web sites. I’m also a volunteer with The Delta Society, and my Corgi Mojo is a certified therapy dog as well as being certified as a reading dog for children that have barriers to reading.

My Family

I’m married and live in Beaverton with my husband Don and our ‘children’ which include six dogs; five dachshunds and a Welch Pembroke Corgi, and two birds; a Blue and Gold Macaw and an African Senegal. We enjoy traveling in our RV with our dogs when time permits; as well as spending time with family and most especially our Grandchildren.
