Microchip Clinic 2009

Apollo the Great Dane

We're excited to host a 4-day Microchip Clinic at Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital, starting May 4th through May 8th. In the event your pet should become lost or missing, our nationally recognized microchip significantly increases their chance of being identified and returned. Pet owners are encouraged to schedule their pets for this special microchip event, only $25.00 per pet (A $65.00 VALUE!).

What is a microchip?

A microchip is a tiny device, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), which our veterinarians simply inject beneath the surface of your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.

Does your pet need a microchip?

Collars and tags are easily lost. Tattoos can fade or become unreadable. But a microchip is permanent. Your pet's microchip contains identifying information stored in a nationwide database, allowing almost every veterinarian and animal shelter in the country to identify your pet and help return them.
