HEARTWORM AWARENESS MONTH!

SPECIAL REBATES ON SENTINEL!

Canine heart infected with heartworm

June is National Heartworm Awareness month and the Doctors and staff at Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital join the American Heartworm Society in an effort to educate our clients on the dangers of this life-threatening disease.

Dogs are infected with heartworms when they are bitten by an infected mosquito. This means that even indoor dogs and those that do not have contact with other pets are still susceptible. Currently, the incidence of heartworm disease is low in Oregon but is becoming more and more prevalent as a result of our mobile society. We currently follow the recommendations of the American Heartworm Society and other experts in advising annual heartworm testing and prevention for all of our canine patients. The only way to prevent the spread of this fatal disease is to test your pets and place them on a preventative medication such as Sentinel®. Currently we are offering savings of $50.00 off the price of a 12 month supply of Sentinel. This special pricing includes a $25.00 rebate now and a $25.00 check delivered to your home in 11 months!
