Farewell to the Queen
 |
| Dottie |

After nineteen years of love and care, we bid a sad farewell to a wonderful friend and companion at Murrayhill. Dottie was a truly pampered and doted upon cat, who we fondly referred to as, "The Queen".
Within the hospital's first year, Dottie was brought to us by a concerned neighbor who found her as a stray. We gladly accepted her as our first adoptee in the Murrahill Adoption Program. Rumor has it, she got the name, "Dot" because she has one tiny dot of white fur on her chest. After some time we found that Dottie's perfect home was with us, here at the Hospital. Since her new parents were veterinary doctors and technicians, she lived a better life than she ever would as a stray.

During her life with us, Dottie helped us demonstrate vital home care procedures to pet owners. She was also very patient and generous to donate blood for some of our feline patients.
When Dottie wasn't giving of herself to the sick and suffering, she lived in the lap of luxury as a cherished member of our family. A regular part of her day was spent greeting customers, entertaining guests, and otherwise keeping our chairs warm.

In her later years, Dottie would usually be found in her favorite chair. Naturally we thought of it as her "throne" and even adorned it with regalia fit for the Queen.

A lot of people have come to know Dottie over the years. She's been pampered and cared for by every employee in the history of our hospital. We will forever miss Dottie. There will never be another kitty quite like her.
