Dr. Chea Hall Elected to Council on Veterinary Services

On July 12, 2009, Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital's Dr. Chea Hall was elected by AVMA's House of Delegates to the Council of Veterinary Services, representing members at large.

The Council on Veterinary Services works to develop better ways to deliver high quality professional veterinary services to the public and represents private practioners' interest in the profession. This includes investigating matters pertaining to the economic and social aspects of veterinary service.

Examples of Council activity include:

• development of the AVMA Ergonomic Guidelines for Veterinary Practice
• revision of the AVMA Model Policy on Harrassment
• revision of the AVMA Policy on Veterinary Facility Occupational Risks for Pregnant Workers

Dr. Chea Hall also just concluded a four-year term on the AVMA Strategic Planning Committee in which she represented recent veterinary graduates.

Previous to this, Dr. Hall also served with AVMA's Council on Public Relations.
